Bentley is a Blenheim coloured Cavalier. He is 12 weeks old in this picture.
Cavalier king Charles Spaniels were originally bred to be lap dogs for royalty and aristocrats in the 15th century. They were the only ones who could afford to keep a dog just for companionship.
Bentley certainly fits this mold! He loves to be on my knee, no matter whether he's sleeping or playing. He also loves to run around outside with the "big kids" Bentley has also discovered the joys of horse poop. There seems to be nothing better for a dog than a nice fresh lump of horse poop to chew on!
He really is a delight to have around. ♥
There's lots more photo's of Bentley on the photo albums page, so have a look.
